Giant's Causeway
What an odd and beautiful place! The volcanic formations make perfect hexagon steps, heaped up in mounds all over the coastline. (We heard someone say that there are similar places in Scotland and in California.) Although I had paid for round-trip on the shuttle bus, I decided to walk the 3/4-mile back to the tourist center because it was such a beautiful sunny day, and there was much to see along the shore.

It was only after our laaaast tourist stop at Carrickfergus Castle, that the sky clouded up and sprinkled a bit as we headed for Dublin. Nine perfect days of weather! Talk about your "Irish blessings"! Praise God! |
